As if yoga wasn’t already hard enough, people are now adding alcohol and animals to the mix.
Forget your typical yoga class, people everywhere are itching to try new things and the yoga community is providing just that.
Two of the latest yoga trends are beer yoga and goat yoga and they’ve caught the attention of people all over the world.
What are these new trends, you ask?
I’m here to fill you in.
Beer yoga is the new international trend that people just can’t seem to stop talking about it.
This new fitness craze, which originated in Germany, is now gaining popularity in Australia and several Southeast Asian countries.
When participating in one of these classes you’re supposed to focus your mind on the beer bottle in your hands, as you go from pose to pose.
Personally, I think it’s an accident waiting to happen but people seem to be loving it, claiming the beer helps them loosen up and enjoy yoga even more.
While there are yoga classes that reward you with beer at the end, this really takes things to a new level.
For now, beer yoga classes are hard to find in the United States but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them coming to a studio near you soon.
While this trend doesn’t involve alcohol, it does involve animals.
Goat yoga involves yogis traveling to farms and allowing goats to roam and walk all over them while they take part in a yoga class.
There’s no question that this growing trend is out of the box but what better way to increase attendance than by mixing yoga with cute, friendly animals?
Goat yoga has also proven to be great for the farms, as it raises awareness for the animals.
While these yoga trends are all the rage now, I’m curious to see if they’re here to stay or if they’re simply fads.
For now though, I’m just enjoying looking at pictures of adorable baby goats.
